Further investment from interconnect systems manufacturer Amphenol who have just added a fourth component collector to their Whitstable factory.
Another DPH1000 has been installed, this time to collect parts from their Citizen Miyano M16 sliding head enabling this machine to run unmanned for lights out machining and also ensure the critical surface finishes of Amphenol's components are maintained..
Bespoke elements were required to integrate this parts collector with the M16 machine. Guarding and a conveyor for safe and efficient part ejection were designed in conjunction with Citizen and manufactured by J&S Engineering.
The unique oil drain-back feature of the DPH1000 is designed to enable the reclamation of this resource for immediate reuse in the sliding head machine - a fantastic way to save money & implement a sustainability initiative simultaneously. All of the oil from the parts landing on the rotating disc drains down to a central point where it is then piped back to the Citizen machine.
Proven results from their other three parts collecting machines from J&S Engineering, meant Amphenol were keen to invest in a fourth to continue saving money from the reuse of oil and maintain their commitment to being environmentally responsible.
