J&S Engineering are bringing sustainable & efficient manufacturing solutions to MACH2026 at the NEC

After 35 years of experience working in the UK machine tool industry, we have continually developed a streamlined range of cutting-edge technologies providing advanced swarf management and machining support solutions.

Exhibiting for the 7th consecutive time, J&S Engineering will once again be showcasing a range of products to manufacturers who are visiting with a view to adopting new processes or upgrading existing swarf management solutions, pre-production bar preparation or improving part collection from bar fed CNC lathe production.

Machine tool manufacturers will be able to get up close to our machines to find out how they can ‘add to’ their existing production & machine shop set-ups with innovative equipment to optimise their processes, tackle their ‘green agenda’ & relieve some of the pressure imposed by continuously escalating raw material prices.

With an expert team on stand across the 5 days, we are providing advice on how our products can:

  • contribute to improving or increasing the sustainability of your business
  • generate cost savings through more streamlined & efficient pre & post production operations
  • reduce swarf volume by up to 90% and increase it’s recycling value by up to 50%
  • recover up to 95% of coolant & lubricants to reuse
  • briquette large or small quantities of swarf
  • help with some of the challenges of lights-out running & safely catch finished components
  • pre-production preparation to make machining run more smoothly with our British designed and manufactured cost-effective bar chamfering, overturning & ending machines
  • clean machines quickly and separate fluids from chips to reuse

There will be a total of eleven machines featured on stand:

  • Two swarf briquetting machine models from our supplier Höcker Polytechnik: the iSwarf 440 & its compact ‘little brother’ the iSwarf 50. But this year this portable model features a built-in swarf crusher. These machines process voluminous curly swarf down into briquettes between 45-70mm in diameter, as well as reclaiming any coolant present which can then be reused.
  • A small automatic swarf centrifuge system from FAMA which is ideal for chipped brass and steel swarf & reclaims lubricants and coolant for recycling.
  • Two manual swarf spinners from Rimann AG with a tank and filter for reclaimed coolant or oil.
  • Five of our British designed and manufactured bar chamfering machines and component collectors which provide automated solutions for preparing material for automatic bar feeders and to catch finished components from CNC lathes and machining centres.
  • The bar chamfers offer high volume, compact and portable capabilities for overturning and chamfering bar and both our fully automatic and semi-automatic models will feature on stand.
  • Portable, fully programmable component handlers are designed to safely catch parts from all types of machines, provide an easier method of parts inspection as well as enabling light’s out / unmanned operation.
  • From our machine cleaning supplier Sofraper there will be the versatile Optimoil vacuum for chips, fluids and sludge which provides mess free cleaning for the machine shop floor.

This year we will be debuting 3 new component collector models at MACH.

Building on our already successful RPH rotary range, innovative updates have been made to provide automatic oil fill & drain functionality to both the RPH500 & RPH600 machines. With further development taking place to create a new smaller model - RPH300 - for the collection of small components.

'With over 35 years at the heart of the UK machine tool industry, we have dedicated our knowledge and experience to providing targeted and affordable automation solutions for turned parts manufacturers to add to their existing machine shop floor set ups. The last 2 years have seen raw material prices continue to skyrocket, budgets for development being squeezed or even cut completely & the need to operate sustainably become an ever more important necessity. The products we offer provide manufacturing businesses with solutions that can manage some of these pressures through saving time, money & reducing their carbon footprint.

In the current climate of soaring raw material costs as well as the increased focus on the ‘green agenda’ and becoming more sustainable, we can help businesses to manage both of these pressures by offering products that save them both money and time and reduce their carbon footprint. This is our seventh consecutive time exhibiting and we’re excited to once again have this platform to present our range of machines to such a wide-ranging and influential audience of buyers, CEO’s, machine operators and everyone in-between from companies both big and small.'
