Earlier this year Pall Engineering took the step to invest in a new component collector from J&S Engineering to add further efficiency to their existing machine shop set up.
A DPH1200 was installed at Pall, to collect finished parts from their Citizen Miyano BNA42 DHY fixed head lathe and enable the machine to run unmanned for lights out machining and to ensure the critical surface finishes of their components are maintained.
The unique oil drain-back feature of the DPH1200 is designed to enable the reclamation of this resource for immediate reuse in the fixed head machine - a fantastic way to save money & implement a sustainability initiative simultaneously. All of the oil from the parts landing on the rotating disc drains down to a central point where it is then piped back to the Citizen machine.
The aerospace manufacturer will reap the benefits of saving money from the reuse of oil and continuing their commitment to being environmentally responsible.
