Whitstable based company Amphenol, have taken delivery of their second disc parts handler from J&S Engineering.

The DPH1000 has been installed to collect parts from their Nakamura WT150 turning centre.

This enables the machine to run unmanned for lights out machining and also ensure the critical surface finishes of the components are maintained.

The DPH is set up with a unique coolant drain-back feature designed specifically to enable the reclamation of this resource and save money. Simply explained, it means that all of the coolant from the parts landing on the rotating disc will drain down to then feed directly back to the Nakamura fixed head lathe for instant reuse.

Amphenol were keen to invest in a second component collector after already receiving the resource, money and time saving benefits from their first investment!
