After increasing the number of turning machines running on neat cutting oil, Metaltech Precision saw a sharp rise in expenditure for this pricey resource. The solution was to invest in a swarf spinning centrifuge from J&S Engineering to enable them to start reclaiming 98% of the waste oil and reduce their costs.
The manual centrifuge system comprises an Aryma 61 from our Swiss swarf spinner supplier Rimann AG and a bespoke A-frame gantry with electric crane hoist and lifting arm for loading and unloading the swarf bins. We design and manufacture our own wheeled swarf bins here in the UK and supplied Metaltech with 16 for each one of their machines.
