This is the first component collector for precision engineering company Bryken.
The Liverpool based manufacturer took delivery of the DPH1000 disc model from J&S Engineering after it was sold as part of a machine package from Citizen Miyano.
Bryken's new Miyano ANX42SYY fixed head lathe is producing parts where there is zero tolerance for any marks, so they needed to be able to collect the finished components safely and have an increased capacity to store them when they were ejected from the machine.
The rotating table design provides both the required storage space and ensures the critical finish of the components is maintained.
This Miyano machine is set up with a special billet loading system so as it isn’t bar fed, the available space for the component collector is restricted. In this instance the DPH1000 had to be fitted around the billet loader, so adjustments were made to the set-up of the conveyor to allow for the specific positioning.
